The Town of Kirkland Board met Monday evening to discuss new business.

The Board approved a resolution accepting the May 31 meeting minutes. The Board approved a resolution to adopt the Solar Energy Permitting Fees Schedule.

The Board approved a resolution approving the 2023 fireworks contract with Majestic.

The Board approved a resolution accepting the resignation of Tom Knight, effective June 22 and approving Knight asking for a part-time appointment as a police officer July 1.

The developer of a Solar Project sent a check for twice the amount of requirement, Attorney Hallak will return a check to the company for half the amount.

Councilmember Melanie O'Neil asked residents to remember to clean up after their dogs when walking through Kirkland Town Park.

Councilmember Rick Maxam said the sewer issues on Spring Street have been a pain.

Town of Kirkland Supervisor Bob Meelan asked for a resolution to authorize change orders in the General Budget regarding the Clinton Arena Roof project. The Board approved the resolution.

Meelan said he received a response from Delta Associates for the Norton Avenue project. Approval was given for Central Paving the do the project.
