Chargers Planned At Clinton Arena

The Town of Kirkland Board met Monday evening to discuss new business.


A resident met with the Board to request a speed reduction.


The Board asked the resident to submit a written request.


A resident asked for more police patrols on Kellogg Street to watch for speeding.


A resident met with the Board about a plan submitted for their property.


Town Attorney Tony Hallak held a short discussion with the resident about the requirements of the plan and suggested meeting with Town Codes Officer Robert Harris.


The Board approved a resolution approving the June 23 meeting minutes.


The Board approved a resolution approving the July 14 meeting minutes.


The Board approved a resolution to hold a public hearing Sept. 8 to discuss the proposed Local Law #1 of 2025: Override the Tax Levy Limit.


The Board approved a resolution to approve an amendment to the Standard Work Day and Reporting Resolution for Elected and Appointed Officials.


The Board approved a resolution to reappoint Nina Wallace as Town Assessor with a six-year term to expire Sept. 30, 2031.


The Board approved a resolution to reappoint Edward Labayewski to the Board of Assessment Review with a five-year term to expire Sept. 30, 2030.


Hallak held a conversation with Council members and thought, procedurally, everything was worked out for the demolition of a home.


The house is in a flood plain and needs to be reviewed by Codes.


The Recreation Department received a letter from Senator Griffo recognizing the 75th anniversary of the Clinton Arena.


Town of Kirkland Supervisor Bob Meelan said, "We signed up again for electric vehicle chargers at the Clinton Arena."
