CCS Wins 44-38

After dropping their first two games, the Clinton boys varsity basketball team beat Westmoreland for their first win.

The Warriors rallied late in the third quarter and kept the lead throughout the second half for a 44-38 win. Clinton trailed 28-20 at the half.

Holding the Bulldogs to 2 points in the third quarter, Clinton scored 14 to take the lead and held on for the win.

The Clinton Warriors had back-to-back game nights against the Holland Patent Golden Knights to start the season.

The game against Holland Patent didn’t have any stats on Clinton’s side but it was way out of reach by the end of the first quarter. Holland Patent got out and ran and Clinton couldn't keep up which led to an eventual blowout.

In Clinton’s second game they played Westmoreland and eventually lost 67-52. After half time Westmoreland went on a massive run and shut down Clinton.

The leading scorers were Noah King with 24 points and Griffin Seymour with 9 points.

Scoring information was not available for the other games.
