CCS Welcomes Staff

The Clinton Central Schools Board of Education met recently discuss new business.


CCS Superintendent Christopher Clancy welcomed the new CCS staffing hires Amy Randall, Kassie Berry, Dominique Spellman, Roger Maxam, Julia Prichard, Stephanie Ciotti, and Diane Howe.


Several new members of the staff attended the meeting and held a meet and greet with the Board following the meeting.


Clancy said the State approved the CCS Capital Project.


The bidding process is underway and expected to continue through June 25.


An initial first-draw testing for lead of potables outlets at Clinton Elementary School took place.


Schools are required to test for lead every three years.


Clancy congratulated Boardmembers Melinda Leising and Erica Shaw for achieving the Level 3 Board Mastery Award from NYSSBA's Board Excellence Recognition Program.


The Board approved a resolution combining and approving the consent agenda.


Boardmember Lyndsey Bauer shared the first reading of a policy and the student wellness policy was submitted for second reading and approval.


Boardmember Lisa Magnarelli said the CCSD Foundation is exploring their future Hall of Distinction events.


So far $21,000 in grants were awarded this year.


The Wellness Committee discussed wellness half-day offerings for staff development in October.


The Wellness Committee discussed fitness and nutrition bars and goals.


The PTA's final activity night is scheduled for June 21 at the CCS Middle School.
