The Clinton Central School Board of Education met Tuesday evening to discuss new business.
CCS Superintendent Chris Clancy welcomed the new staff to the BOE meeting for a social with refreshments. Clinton Central School District introduced 23 new hires. CCS High School Principal Matt Lee introduced the new hires and some of the early impressions they're making at CCSD.
Nicole Chubbuck of D'Arcangelo & Co. met with the Board for an audit presentation. They gave an unmodified opinion on each major fund, recommended adopting the new accounting standard GASB 96 subscription-based IT arrangements.
Assistant Superintendent of Business Joe Barretta thanked his staff for making the audit process easier and thanked D’Arcangelo for their work.
Clancy gave each CCSD BOE member a Clinton Comets T-Shirt and certificate of recognition in celebration of Board of Education Appreciation Week.
Clancy said CCS will be adding BoardDocs to its resources for Board meeting and agenda organization.
The name Comets won the vote for the CCS Mascot Renaming with 52.8% of the total vote.
Clancy welcomed new hires Jessica Pinto (Social Worker/ Long-Term Substitute), Christine Cook (Aide), Carrie Jackson (Monitor), Debra Lopata (Monitor), Gisela Bronga (Monitor), James Duffy (Cleaner). Clancy recommended hiring a Technology Supervisor.
He said that 8-Man varsity football was canceled.
The District Goals were presented with Goal 1 focusing on Culture, Goal 2 focusing on Coordination, Goal 3 focusing on Communication, and Goal 4 focusing on Consistency.
There will be a mid-year goal update in February and a Goals and Objectives
