CCS Outlines Annual Goals

The Clinton Central School Board of Education met Tuesday evening to discuss new business.

Nicole Chubbuck of D'Arcangelo and Co., LLP presented the District with the results of the 2025-26 Financial Statement Audit.

CCSD received an unmodified opinion with no material weaknesses or significant deficiencies identified. No issues of noncompliance were found.

The Board opened a public hearing on the Special Patrol Officer contract agreement.

CCSD Superintendent Christopher Clancy said the most notable change from the previous contract is the rate.

Clancy congratulated Ethan Labuz for being named a National Merit Scholar semifinalist and Antimo Pellechia for receiving a National Merit Scholar commendation.

A Liberty Tree was dedicated on the Middle School campus on Constitution Day Sept. 17.

Clancy discussed the NY Inspires Board of Regents graduation requirement changes.

The New York State Education Department is expected to bring proposed regulatory amendments to the Board of Regents in February, 2027.

The changes will allow access to graduation for students without the opportunity through the Regents format before. Director of Pupil Personnel Services Elizabeth Ganey presented the PPS Goals.

Goal 1 is Improve student achievement and ensure equitable outcomes while strengthening early identification and student support.

Goal 2 is Strengthen inclusive instructional practices.

Goal 3 is Expand authentic learning and future- ready opportunities.

Goal 4 is Strengthen student and family voice and understanding of PPS processes.

Goal 5 is Strengthen transition planning and future-ready pathways.

Assistant High School Principal and Director of Athletics Bob Bentley presented the Athletics Goals.

Goal 1 is Strengthen academic success and participation.

Goal 2 is Strengthen coaching practices through consistent professional learning, expectations, and feedback.

Goal 3 is use the Clinton Student Athlete Leadership Team to strengthen the connection between athletics and the Portrait of a Clinton Graduate.

Goal 4 is Establish a Student Athlete Leadership Team consisting of interested and representative athletes from each season.

Goal 5 is Expand student awareness of educational, career, leadership, and service opportunities.

Clancy led a short discussion of the continuing construction from the Capital Project.
