CCS Fall Sports Receive Honors

The Clinton Central Schools Board of Education met Tuesday evening to discuss new business.


The meeting began with a performance of The First Noel and We Wish You a Merry Christmas by the Chamber Singers.


The Board approved a resolution to open a public hearing to discuss the 526-SPO Contract.


No public spoke, and the Board approved a resolution to close the public hearing.


CCSD Superintendent Chris Clancy began the Superintendent's report discussing the hiring of Kathleen Hepler as a long-term substitute high school teacher.


Clancy gave a review of support provided by legislators such as Foundation aid adjustments, revisions to APPR, retiree waiver extensions for educators, and aid received for CTE staff.


Future topics for support are a Foundation aid increase for safe harmless schools, adequate funding and support with programming for students with disabilities, and to take into consideration the realities regarding zero-emission busing.


The Board held a short discussion about the limiting timetable for implementing EV bus fleets.


The Strong Foundations Capital Project was approved by a 163-27 vote. "Thank you to the community for supporting this important work," Clancy said.
