Canadarago Bass Event Lures 86


The Richfield Springs Community Center held its annual Bass Fishing Tournament Fundraiser at the Canadarago Lake New York State Boat Launch in July.


With a total of 42 boats and 86 anglers, the event drew the largest turnout in the tournament’s history.


Contest winners are determined by weighing the three largest bass from each boat for a total combined weight. An additional lunker contest is held for the tournament’s single largest bass caught.


After the weigh-in, anglers enjoyed lunch prepared by members of the Richfield Springs Community Center Board of Directors and event organizer Bill Kosina announced the tournament’s winners.


Don Hoag won the $495 first-place prize with a total of 10.62 lbs. Steve Movealle, Steve Covaleski, and Tom and Beck Meniger’s boat came in second place at 9.73 lbs, winning $353, in addition to the $325 heaviest lunker prize for a 4.9 pound catch.


Don and Matt Green rounded out the podium with 8.83 pounds and a third place prize of $212….
