Bridgewater Works On Updating Dog Licenses

The Town of Bridgewater Board met this month to discuss new business.
The Board approved a resolution approving the July meeting minutes.
Planning Board Chair Destinee Davis said the PB met July 15 with no guests.
The PB met with the Zoning Board of Appeals for online training, however it was rescheduled for Aug. 5.
On Aug. 5 the online training was non-functional, so training will have to be done in October and December training sessions.
ZBA Chair Diedra Williams said the training session from August was rescheduled for Nov. 20.
Davis said the Town is contacting residents about delinquent dog licensing.
Davis and Roselle Wheeldon are making calls and looking into waiving the late fee for a month or two.
Town of Bridgewater Supervisor Dale DeKing said to send a letter for the accounts, and the Dog Control Officer will deliver an appearance ticket for those who continue to be delinquent.
Williams said the ZBA had three visitors at their monthly meeting.
One resident asked for advice on what to do about an unsafe garage.
The Army Corp of Engineers and New York state are preparing an offer for the property.
A permit for repair or for demolition needs to be delivered at the Sept. 8 court date.
The Board held a discussion about the property and the landowner's options regarding the garage in disrepair near the Town creek.
Town Assessor Patricia Terns is scheduled for a vacation the week of Sept. 8 and will submit her report by email.
The Assessor's Office had some computer problems.
Terns said her office would be going around this week to take pictures.
Jerry Perry said there are problems with a pit.
