Bids Received For Arena’s New Floor

The Town of Kirkland Board met Monday evening to discuss new business.


The Board canvassed the bids for the Clinton Arena Floor Replacement project and approved a motion to accept the bids for review by Nelson & Associates.


The Board approved a resolution approving the minutes for the May 25 meeting into Town records.


The Board approved a resolution appointing Joseph McCormick as a full-time police officer for the Town of Kirkland.


The Board approved a resolution appointing Joseph Scarafile as a part-time police officer for the Town of Kirkland.


Town of Kirkland Police Department Administrative Officer Shawn Occhipiinti sent a letter of support for Officers McCormick and Scarafile, complimenting their work ethic and dedication to maintain the safety of the Town.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the retirement of Robert Harris effective June 29.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the retirement of Richard Young effective June 16.


The Board approved a resolution approving the contract with Majestic fireworks for a fireworks display July 4 with a rain date for July 8.


The Annual SWOCO Picnic is scheduled for July 7 at the landfill.
