Berkshire Bank Corp. announced that as of Oct. 29 the bank’s branch in Oriskany Falls will close.
Berkshire has had a branch in Oriskany Falls since 2004. The company announced in July the bank would close at the end of this month.
The closing brings to an end a bank on Main Street in the village since 1903 with the founding of First National Bank. Other companies that occupied the bank building were Citibank, Jefferson National and Fleet. Berkshire took over from Vernon National Bank.
