PB&J

Provided Photo

Mount Markham High School junior Caroline Entwistle displays some of the peanut butter and jelly that was donated this year in her annual Spread the Love food drive. Caroline started this collection on National PB&J day last year to raise awareness of food insecurity in the community and help provide additional sandwich ingredients to the local food pantry to help the community through the summer months. This year, Caroline was awarded the Hershey Heartwarming Project Action Grant. The grant was awarded to help Caroline put her ideas into action to create a more inclusive, empathetic, and kind community. The collection runs through the month of April each year. Thank you to the Mount Markham High School, Joe’s New York Pizzeria, and the Litchfield Sweet Corn Hut for being drop off locations for this year’s collection.
