After a couple of years of a small group seeking to bring a grocery store to the area, those involved need some help.
Specifically, the 4-Corners Food Co-Op wants people to become members to drive forward the plan to bring in a grocery store. Once 300 people are enrolled, enough funds will be available to start a local grocery store.
To entice people and explain how the Co-Op will work, 4-Corners will have a fall celebration Saturday, Sept. 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Scenic View Campground in West Winfield. The event is free and features vendors, food trucks, live music, raffles and the change to buy a Harvest Bag of food for $40.
Chairwoman Renee Winne and Vice Chairwoman Kari Thomson, both of West Winfield, lead the Board of Directors which includes people from Waterville.

While both villages now have a Dollar General in their community for non-perishable items, Co-Op members said it’s important to have a place with fresh produce and meat offered.
At the fund raiser/membership drive this Saturday, people can enroll…
