Changes Made At Churches


The Diocese of Syracuse announced changes at local Roman Catholic churches starting last week.

Bishop Douglas Lucia made the following appointments of priests as of Sept. 15:

Rev. Jason Hage has been appointed Pastor of the linked parishes of St. Bernard’s, Waterville, and St. Joseph’s, Oriskany Falls.

This appointment is in addition to his responsibilities as Pastor of St. Mary’s Church, Hamilton; St. Joan of Arc Mission, Morrisville; Colgate University Campus Ministry; and Director of Vocation Promotion.

Rev. Abraham Esper has been appointed Administrator of St. Mary’s Church, Clinton. This assignment includes sacramental responsibilities at St. Patrick/St. Anthony Church, Chadwicks, as well as Hamilton College.

Former St. Bernard’s Pastor Rev. Richard Kapral has been appointed Administrator of St. Joseph–St. Patrick Church in Utica.

Mass schedule for the linked Parishes is Saturday at 4 p.m. at St. Joan of Arc in Morrisville and 6 p.m. at St. Joseph’s in Oriskany Falls.

Sunday Masses are 9 a.m. at St. Bernard’s in Waterville, 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s in Hamilton and 8:30 p.m. at Colgate University.

St. Mary’s in Clinton has Masses at 8 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays, 5:15 p.m. Saturdays and 10:30 a.m. Sundays.
