Future of Marshall Junk Days Discussed


The Aug. 11 meeting of the Marshall Town Board opened with approval of the minutes of the July meeting.

Masks were worn by all Board members and assembled guests, and the chairs were placed six feet apart. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Supervisor Jack Buschmann.

Deb Turner of VanHyning Road was recognized as a guest. She said she was concerned about the dump trucks which go up and down the road, and pointed out that it was a dangerous curve and a blind corner.

Turner asked if the Town could do anything about the situation and if there was a weight limit on that road. Highway Superintendent Bob Welch said the only weight limit was on the bridge on VanHyning Road, and it was determined to be 16 tons...
