CCS Board Zooms Into the 2020-21 Year


The Clinton Central School District Board of Education met Tuesday evening online for their Organizational and regular meeting.

It's the first online Organizational meeting in the Board's history. Plans had been for the board to have their first in-person meeting since February but Gov. Andrew Cuomo issued an extension of his executive order requiring remote meetings the night before. That extends to Aug. 5.

CCS Board President Mary Lou Lauchert was reelected unanimously to the CCS Board presidency. Board member Melinda Leising was unanimously elected CCS Board vice president.

Julia Scranton was re-appointed Clerk of the Board and Records Access Officer.

Assistant Superintendent of Business Joseph Barretta was appointed District Treasurer, Purchasing Agent, Medicaid Compliance Officer and Records Management Officer.

NBT Bank was approved as the Tax Collecting Agency for Paris, Vernon, Kirkland, Marshall, New Hartford, and Westmoreland in the Clinton Central School District for the 2020-21 school year.

Linda Voce was appointed Internal Claims Auditor. D’Arcangelo & Co. was re-approved as the CCSD Independent Auditors.

Angela Thieme was appointed Extra Activities Fund Director. Bond, Schoeneck & King were appointed CCSD special counsel.

Dr. Christopher Allinea was appointed Medical Director and School Physician…
