Warriors Lose 3-1


The Clinton boys hockey team’s season ended last Tuesday in Whitesboro in the Sectional semifinal 3-1.

An evenly matched game fell apart for Clinton in the second period when Whitesboro scored three goals to push the game out of Clinton's reach through the third period. During the season Whitesboro won their first matchup and the teams tied in the second one.

The first period was an aggressive show from both teams as penalty minutes were distributed every few minutes while the two rivals welcomed each other to the game. The tension built through the first period as Clinton led in the total number of shots through the first at 9-8. Fortunately for both defenses, neither team managed to score on their power plays. Clinton had a good opportunity with a power play late in the first, but Whitesboro's defense...
