On the same ice where the 1980 U.S. Olympic men’s hockey team showed that miracles do happen, the Clinton girls ice hockey team followed suit Sunday by winning the state championship. The Warriors, in their fifth year of having a program of girls from several school districts, beat two higher seeds, including the defending champs, to win their first state title.
