Clinton Graduate Now Full Colonel


Lieutenant Colonel Michael F. LaBrecque, son of Les and Nan LaBrecque of Clinton, was promoted to the rank of full Colonel at a ceremony at Ft. Belvoir, VA. recently.

Col. LaBrecque is a native of Newport, R.I. and grew up in Clinton. He graduated from the United States Military Academy and was commissioned into the Infantry in 1999.

He transitioned to the Quartermaster Corps in 2002 prior to attending the Combined Logistics Captains Career Course. LaBrecque is a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College and the Army War College as an Army War College Fellow at Columbia University.

He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from West Point and a Master’s Degree in Administration from Central Michigan University.

LaBrecque’s prior assignments include: Army War College Fellow at Columbia University, New York City; Sustainment Task Force Senior Observer Coach/Trainer (JRTC), Fort Polk, Louisiana; Battalion Commander, 308th Brigade Support Battalion, 17th Field Artillery Brigade (I Corps), Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington; Deputy J4, Special Operations Command Pacific, Camp Smith, Hawaii; ...
