Warriors Improve To 14-0


The Clinton Warriors boys varsity soccer team extended their winning streak to 14 games to start their season with two more blowout wins at home last week against Adirondack Tuesday and Canastota Thursday.

Clinton enters this week of final regulation play with a goal differential of 74 scored, eight against.

Against Adirondack, Danny Frank got the scoring started when he found Captain Matt Lewis on the right side of the net with the ball. Lewis sent it in off the diving goalie’s glove just over three minutes into the game.

According to statistics at syracuse.com, Lewis ranks third in Section Three in points scored at 55, with 23 goals and eight assists.

Adirondack took the ball to restart the action and Clinton quickly took possession and then proceeded to work with the ball for the next six minutes.

Lewis had another shot saved soon after but just a minute later scored off a pass from Cooper Siddon. Lewis got the hat trick less than halfway through the first half, netting Kass Gifford the assist this time.

A few minutes later, Gifford lined up for a free kick and scored it to push the first half lead to 4-0. Clinton went right back to…
