Clinton Updates Policy To Use Village Green Areas


The Clinton Village Board met Oct. 7 to discuss new business.

The review of the previous months department reports began with the DPW.

That included 21.48 tons of waste hauled to the landfill over 17 loads, including 16 tires. Two loads of metal were recycled, weighing 2.64 tons for $201.71.

Twenty-five loads of mixed yard waste were removed. Park maintenance has been continuing. New cleaning work is being done on the sewers, and the Department recently received two new pickup trucks.

The Water Department pumped 10,307,800 gallons in September for an average daily flow of 343,593 gallons. Plant 1 pumped 9,299,400 gallons total for an average of 309,980 gallons a day. Plant 2 pumped 1,008,400 gallons for a daily rate of 33,613 gallons. Eighty-five gallons of Chlorine and 321 pounds of Fluoride were used. The South Street tank has returned to full service.
