Four Wins, Four Shutouts For Clinton Field Hockey

The Clinton varsity field hockey team traveled to Sherburne Wednesday afternoon and brought home a dominating 8-0 victory.

It became a long game for Sherburne-Earlville in the opening minutes when Finley Davignon opened the scoring for the Warriors. Clinton kept the action in front of the opposing goal for the next few minutes and scored two more goals to quickly gain a three-goal lead.

Madison Steates scored the second goal and Adele Behara added the third.

Clinton backed off on offense for most of the rest of the first half. They threatened shots but couldn't capitalize on several opportunities. Some tough passes and risks didn't pay off like they did early on but Clinton settled in on offense and defense and didn't really have much to…
