Brookfield rebounded from a loss in the first game of the Brothertown Optimist Tournament to take third place.
The Beavers beat Little Falls 2-0 in the consolation game of the tournament after dropping the first game to Remsen. Kodie Abrams scored for Brookfield; he and defender Jonah Rogers were named to the All-tournament team.
In the opening game vs. Remsen, the Beavers jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead on the strength of two goals by Abrams. Remsen came back in the final 12 minutes to first tie it, then take a 3-2 halftime lead.
