Skaters Answer Movie Call

Hockey players from all over New York visited the Clinton Arena right before Christmas vying for a role in an upcoming motion picture.

A late-night open casting call by Slater Brothers Entertainment Dec. 20 brought out about 300 hockey players auditioning for on-ice roles for a film based on the hockey-themed book “Odd Man Rush” by Bill Keenan.

“The crowd was great and we’re looking forward to going through all the auditions over the next week or so,” Casting Director Annie Delano said.
