After 61 Years, It’s Retirement Time


On his 18th birthday, Joseph Szewczyk landed his first job.

Last month, after 61 years and three months, he retired from the only job he ever had. Szewczyk, 79, spent his entire working life at Lincoln Davies in Paris Station.

"After 61 years and three generations with Lincoln Davies," Szewczyk said, "things are a lot different today. Ralph Davies hired me, and he always treated me good. That's the thing, I was always treated good here.’’
