Menorah Lighting In Clinton

By Zach Lewis

The Village of Clinton will see its first-ever menorah lighting ceremony this week.

The event, which marks the fifth night of Hanukkah, will take place on the Village Green Thursday, Dec. 6 at 5 p.m. The menorah lighting ceremony is being put together by Rabbi Didy Waks of Chabad of Clinton.

In addition to the lighting, there will be blessings and songs. Latkes, hot cider and donuts will be served. Every child who attends the ceremony will receive a gift.

“We’re encouraging everyone to attend,” Waks said.

The full story is in this week's edition of the newspaper.
