A 155-year-old church closed its doors.
St. Mark’s Episcopal Church on White Street in Clark Mills had its final Sunday service Nov. 25. Nearly every pew was full - about 50 people - for the farewell service. The Rev. Canon Carrie Schofield-Broadbent conducted the church’s last sermon.
Gail Williamson, who has been a churchwarden and is the treasurer at St. Mark’s, said the church was established in 1862 and was built a year later.
