Last week’s release for a collection of poetry written by Clinton Middle School students left many people thankful ahead of Thanksgiving.
Students and teachers excitedly signed and read copies of “Words of a Warrior” throughout the afternoon at the Middle School where they celebrated the release with a schoolwide celebration. Students played games in the gym or relaxed to snacks in the cafeteria provided by students and parents.
Several students expressed their gratitude to Newbery Medal-winning author Kwame Alexander for inspiring their poetry in the book.
