After much discussion, but without making any changes, the Brookfield Town Board approved the 2019 budget with a reduction in the tax rate.
The four town councilmen at last week’s meeting weighed a request from Highway Superintendent Paul Owens to have the town pay for 100 percent of his annual health insurance. As of this year, the town picks up 70 percent of the cost.
