Third In The State


Clinton’s girls cross country team qualified as a team for the first time in 29 years to attend the state cross country meet Saturday on Long Island. The Warriors finished third in the state, led by senior Eva Borton’s first-place finish in 18:24. Madison Luke took ninth, Taylor Harvey 42nd, Emily Hemstrought 74th, Leah Borton 87th, Finley Davignon 110th and Rebecah Bashant 114th. Waterville runner Dylan Williams finished 13th in the boys Class D race. The Indians ended a good year, as also joining Williams in placing at the sectional meet were Payton Hirsch 27th; Logan Misiaszek 37th, Nikko Recchio 43rd, Gabe Williams 44th, John Misiaszek 53rd and Kyle Yaddow 158th. For the girls, Lydia Snow placed 15th, Brooke Wilson 23rd and Alexis LaFever 93rd.
