People turned out in big numbers to vote last week, both locally and across the country. Locally, in Marshall Andrew Williams Jr. won the Town Supervisor post with 427 votes, while John Puckey was elected a Town Councilmember with 454 votes. Jamie Peck was a write-in candidate for supervisor and Colleen Baldwin for the town board. Write-in votes for supervisor totaled 208 and for town board 157. Brookfield will also likely see a new Town Supervisor as John Salka is leading longtime Assemblyman Bill Magee in votes counted so far. The area might also send a new representative to Congress in Anthony Brindisi, who leads Claudia Tenney for the House of Representatives seat as of votes counted.
