Kirkland Adopts Town Budget

The Town of Kirkland Board approved the adoption of Local Law No. 4 to override the 2019 Tax Cap and approved the 2019 Budget for the Town of Kirkland.

During the Public Hearing prior to the budget vote, Town Supervisor Bob Meelan said there were two reasons taxes were raised this year. “One, to help our outside agencies like the Senior Center and the Town Library. And two, it was a step in preparation for possible natural disasters like flooding,” he explained.
