On the corner of Route 12 and Peck Road in Clinton, on the way to Deansboro, a beautiful flower stand sits. The Rippey Family owns the flower stand and the farm that's attached to it. In 2004, Jasmine Rippey started to sell fresh-cut flowers from a small stand to raise money to buy a horse. Well, she got her horse from the money she raised, and now, Sharon Rippey, Jasmine's mother, is in charge of the newly-renovated flower stand. Sharon said with help from the Clinton Garden Club she learned more about growing flowers. The best-selling flowers at the stand are the sunflowers, Sharon said. Prices at the stand are $1 per stem or $5 for a bouquet. Sharon said customers are "super honest," as the flower stand is one where customers take what they want and leave money in a money box. She said she still maintains the flower stand each year for "the love of flowers and our neighbors."
