The Kirkland Town Library put on a 24-hour reading marathon featuring Charlotte’s Web, a Harry Potter book and The Martian. People read on the library lawn for 24 straight hours. Readers included George Fogg, Joe Shelley, Katherine Terrell and Beth Bohstedt. The event was live-streamed on Facebook. The record for an aloud reading marathon is 113 hours and 15 minutes.
