CCS Officers Re-elected

The Clinton Central School Board of Education organized themselves for the new school year last Tuesday, welcoming two new members and returning both their president and vice president to their posts.

Melinda Leising and Sam Catterson were both sworn in to their newly-elected seats on the board at the July 10 meeting, while Mary Lou Lauchert and Timothy Thomas were elected president and vice president respectively by unanimous vote. Julia Scranton was appointed district clerk, and Joseph Barretta the district treasurer. The Waterville Times and Rome Daily Sentinel were named the official newspapers of the district, and NBT Bank its official bank.

The board moved into their regular monthly meeting immediately after their reorganization, with district Superintendent Dr. Steve Grimm presenting the latest draft of the Board of Education meeting calendar for 2018-19. There were a few changes made since the last discussion of the calendar, with dates adjusted to work around vacation time and the Kraft Hockeyville USA hockey game. The board took no official action on the calendar, and is expected to finalize it at their next meeting.
