Riding a bicycle is one of the first tastes of freedom a youngster has, as the child suddenly gains an all-new ability to travel farther and faster than before.
For Keagan Nelson of Clark Mills, bike riding has propelled him on fast-paced adventures across the country. Nelson has taken a nearly lifelong interest in riding and with practice and determination earned his status now as a world-class professional BMX racer.
“First and foremost, this is absolutely my passion,” the Clinton High School Class of 2013 graduate said. “I have been riding since I was four or five, and now I’ve had races all the way to the West Coast.”
