My father is an amazingly talented carpenter. He's the kind of dad who can build and fix anything. Me, on the other hand, I can't build or fix much. So why I decided to tackle installing a retractable-screen storm door by myself is beyond me. But I got the idea to install one after watching a video online, which made the installation look so simple. At around 7 p.m. - yes, it was kind of a late-night impulse buy - I bought a screen door. I'll spare you the all the problems I had getting the door home, drilling the wrong holes, not getting measurements to line up, breaking parts and cutting my thumb. All I can say is that I did it, and my cat approves. You can see in this photo his excitement of getting a new window to look out from.
