Daughter Inspires Clinton Woman In Her Business
Licensed Massage Therapist Christine Hansen has opened a new office at 8200 Seneca Turnpike called Guided Hands Massage Therapy. She specializes in relaxing massages, stone massage, face rejuvenation and an introduction to craniosacral therapy.
Before opening her own massage therapy office, Hansen worked at the now closed Time For Me Day Spa in Clinton.
But if it weren’t for her daughter, Hansen might not have ventured into the field of massage therapy.
Hansen’s daughter Alyssa was born in 1995 with water on the brain and a rare condition called Dandy-Walker Syndrome.
“Dandy-Walker Syndrome is a congenital brain malformation involving the cerebellum (an area at the back of the brain that controls movement) and the fluid filled spaces around it,” according to the Dandy-Walker Syndrome Alliance website (dandy-walker.org).
