Memorial Day in the Village of Clinton

The rain held off this year for the annual Memorial Day parade and wreath-laying ceremony in Clinton. The parade started at the bridge on College Street and ended at the Village Green. It was on the green where a ceremony honoring Clinton’s war dead took place. The guest speaker at the event was Clinton Central School graduate U.S. Air Force Major Matthew Smith. After his speech, wreaths were placed on the four monuments that honor Clinton’s war dead. The ceremony ended with the American Legion Post Everlasting Ceremony.

Here are videos of the parade and the wreath-laying ceremony.
