CCS Students Do Well In Events


Two Clinton Middle School student clubs finished in first place in recent competitions with other districts.

At the Clinton Central School District Board of Education meeting last week, District Administrative Intern Amie Johnson explained the Middle School Bright Spots.

One of those involved the Middle School Battle of the Books Club, which has been meeting since October to study 20 different books. Six schools participated at the competition in Richfield Springs.

Clinton took first place to move on to Albany April 18. There, they will also visit the state museum and hear a presentation from author Joseph Bruchac.

Johnson also shared a photo of advisors Karen Kaleski and Melissa Roy with students Karina Davis, Georgia Deep, Eva Gaetano, Isidor Marcus, Isla McCullough, Landon Stilz, and Oliver Walters, all wearing shirts specially designed for the competition by student Abbey Notar.
