Flooding in Clinton and Kirkland

Minor flooding in the Village of Clinton and the Town of Kirkland caused some headaches for motorists and residents. Because of rain and melting snow, area creeks and waterways started to rise. The Oriskany Creek jumped the bank in a few spots along Sanford Ave., causing backyards to fill with water. Roads were also closed due to flooding in Clinton and Kirkland. A section of Kirkland Ave., between Robinson Rd. and Rt. 5, was closed. A section of Rt. 5 was also closed because of water on the roadway.
