Since May 21 when 150 flags were put out on all known veterans graves in Fairview Cemetery in the Town of Bridgewater, vandals have continued to remove many of them.
The flags are removed from their holders, flag sticks are broken and thrown on the ground and the flags taken.
The missing flags have been replaced by the cemetery three times. There are no longer any extras available to replace those taken.
Law enforcement has been notified and they will continue to check activity at the cemetery.
This type of vandalism cannot be tolerated. Please report any unusual activity that you may observe to:
