The 14th annual 9/11 Remembrance Day will feature speakers and guests including Congresswoman Claudia Tenney.
The Walter Will American Legion Post of West Winfield will sponsor the local events for Saturday, Sept. 11 beginning at 6 p.m. On the 20th anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, those who were killed that day, first responders and military and the U.S. flag will be honored.
The evening’s events begin with a walk from St. Joseph the Worker Church to the Village Green on the four corners. That leads to a service in the park that includes speakers.
Maj. Daniel Griffith, U.S. Marine Corp Ret, and Mount Markham student Reilly Jones are among those who will participate. Last year when Tenney attended the West Winfield remembrance she also spoke.
