Mount Markham Class of 2021 student Morgan Merritt was named Youth of the Month for September 2020 by the Mount Markham Optimist Club. She is the daughter of Lon and Christine Merritt of West Winfield. Morgan played field hockey and golf and was a member of the French Club, National Honor Society and a class officer. She won numerous academic awards and was involved with her church outside of school. Morgan plans to have a STEM major in college. She chose French teacher Ann Hollis as her favorite teacher, saying she learned a lot and felt cared for in all her French classes.
