Sarah Robinson, Mount Markham Earth Science and Astronomy teacher, was recently awarded a NYSCATE grant for her submission entitled "Using Technology to Understand the Universe.”
Each year, grants of up to $2,000 are awarded to NYSCATE members for projects consistent with its mission statement of leading the transformation of teaching and learning through technology.
NYSCATE (New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education), is a non-profit, professional organization representing more than 25,000 technology-using educators and administrators in New York state.
The grants are intended to support innovative projects which align with state Academic Learning Standards and the ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) Standards. Pre-K through High School faculty/staff/administrators, as well as Higher Education faculty involved in teacher preparation, are encouraged to submit proposals.
