Local Libraries Get Grants

New York state awarded grants to public libraries around the state to use on building improvements and repairs.


Those awarded including the Edmeston Free Library, which received $246,818. That will be used for rehabilitation of all walls, ceilings, trim, and restoration of flooring. In addition there will be new library shelving, new HVAC system, windows, and parking.


The Richfield Springs Public Library received $23,633. That will be used for replacing and repairing the windows in the Memorial room of the library.
