Improvements Spruce Up Park In Oriskany Falls


Improvements to Douglass Park in Oriskany Falls debuted at the Memorial Day ceremony.


The Village of Oriskany Falls, led by Trustee Scott Jeffers, concentrated in the past year on making changes to the park.


Money and work came from the village and the Oneida County Main Street grant.


Douglass Park’s tribute to veterans and the military now includes resetting the marble monument established by the Oriskany Falls Rotary Club in 1970.


The tribute now includes emblems for the six service branches, a flag and walkway.


The larger planter that Jeffers said is likely the oldest artifact in the village has been refurbished, ...
