Difference Makers Have Impact At Mount Markham

The Mount Markham Central School Board of Education met Tuesday night to discuss new business.


The meeting began with Nicolette Burgess and the MM Middle School Difference Makers and how they impact student wellness at school.


Fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students spend time performing random acts of kindness, making goodbye videos for retiring teachers, and do Halloween and Christmas goodies distributions.


The group has made several charitable donations through a Food Drive, a Pet Toy Donation to the Humane Society, a Stuff the Bus event, Flowers for Freedom and Penny Wars.


The students then held a lengthy and enlightening discussion with the Board about improvement opportunities in the Middle School.
