Clinton Selects A New Trustee

The Village of Clinton Board met Monday evening to discuss new business.


The Board Candidate Search Committee selected John Lauchart to fill its vacant seat. 


The Department of Public Works hauled 11 loads weighing 39.2 tons to Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste. Sixteen tires were removed. 


Four loads of metal weighing 1.75 tons were recycled for $201. Fifty loads of mixed yard waste were removed. 


The Village Green has been mowed, leaves mulched, and swept. Streets have been swept, potholes were filled, and green waste leaves were collected. One storm catch basin was removed and the sewer on Chestnut Street was jetted. 


The Water Department pumped 12,880,000 gallons through Plant 1 and 3,447,800 gallons through Plant 2 for a total of 16,327,800 and a total average daily flow of 526,703 gallons. With that 130 gallons of chlorine were used and 485.8 pounds of fluoride were used. 


The new drinking water standards proposed by New York state went into effect and the tests were conducted at each plant.
