Connie Fancett and Gerardo Herrera of Texas became first-time parents last year with the birth of Hunter Ryan Daniel Herrera in October. The parents - Fancett is originally from Waterville - juggled obstacles caused by the pandemic as they went through the pregnancy and some health issues after.
